So this is the last post of the semester. I have to say I really did enjoy this course. I am glad that I was able to take this course in class, instead of doing it through distance.
Since I have already completed my research paper as well as my presentation on the same topic. I failed to complete the required blog entry for this bundle.
The position I took for the research paper and the presentation was that the nature nurture theory was not black and white. It was a very grey topic. A combination of both factors mould and shape us as individuals. Not necessarily one or the other alone. I know that many people would argue that it can only be one of the two. As I demonstrated in my paper that is not the case. Because I chose to use this theory and apply it to serial killers, and as I stated in the paper many people are raised in bad environments but that does not mean that they will turn out to be bad individuals. Granted yes, some people do but not all. Similarly, just because your great great grandfather may have been a violent individual, but you have never met him. And yet your parents were stand up citizens, this does not mean that you will have the same behaviours that your great great grandfather had. But it does happen to some. As you can see, its definitely various shades of grey. Anyone can argue either side, but I choose to argue both. Sometimes its a combination of things that complete the perfect recipe for a serial killer, sometimes you leave things out and it still happens.
